Installation & Safety

Installation

Level Surface:

  • A level surface is required, this will ensure the panels are assembled correctly and that the playhouse is stable.
  • Throughout the installation of your playhouse we recommend a level is used.

Support Base:

  • As the playhouse is made from timber it is not recommended placing directly onto the ground. We recommend creating a barrier between the Playhouse and the ground to minimise the risk of moisture build up which will result in timber becoming waterlogged, mouldy and will eventually rot the timber. We recommend the playhouse is placed on either concrete, pavers, decking or treated pine sleepers (use as a support base).
  • Securing the playhouse to the ground/platform may be required for your backyard especially your area is prone to storms.

Location:

  • Place the playhouse in a well-ventilated area that receives a reasonable amount of sunlight. Do not place directly under building rooflines or near structures where rainwater may run off onto the playhouse as excessive water may lead to waterproofing issues and premature deterioration. Placing under trees may also result in extra maintenance to remove leaves and animal dropping as this will stain the paint and deteriorate the playhouse over time.
  • Reasonable space must be kept between your playhouse and possible sources of danger, such as other equipment, swimming pools, fences and balcony balustrading.

Assembly:

  • Please read the instructions provided thoroughly before assembling your Playhouse. This will prevent any potential mistakes that may void warranty.
  • Assembly must be done by an able-bodied adult (2-3 required). If in doubt ask a technically qualified person or engage a qualified third party to assemble for you.
  • Remove all packaging materials and lay down all parts on an open space. This will help simplify the assembly procedure.
  • Check the list of parts that you have all parts available. Dispose of packaging material when assembly is complete. Do not allow children to play with packaging.
  • Gap your playhouse with weatherproof sealant prior to assembly. For further information please click here
  • After installing your Playhouse ensure all screws, nuts and bolts are correctly installed and tightened.
  • Tools recommended for installation are an electric screwdriver and level (not provided)
